Day 1: Arrival:
Our representative will welcome you at the Airport and drop you to the Hotel . After reaching Hotel the details of the tour programs will be briefed and enjoy you day in the Kathmandu.
Day 2 : Kathmandu Tour : ( Swayambhunath – Kathmandu Durbar Square )
Early morning after breakfast you will leave for the sightseeing of Kathmandu ‘s Heritage sites covering Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square with our Tour guide by which you can explore and learn about the kathmandu’ s Art , culture , history and enjoy your evening.
Swayambhunath is popular as Monkey temple being a ancient Mahachaitya which is believed to be self-existence before the city actually being inhabited. Swayambhunath is one of the famous chaitya from where you can view all the Kathmandu city .
Kathmandu :Kathmandu Valley which lies at the altitude of 1350 meters above sea level with an area of 218 square miles. In History, it’s legend and myth traces its origin to be as a sacred lake which Boddhisattva Manjushree came to worship the flame of Adinath Buddha closely and cut off the boundary of the lake with his flaming sword of wisdom, making way for to pass all the water out of the valley. Kathmandu Valley which was designed in the form of khadga ( Sword) and it’s assumed that the city been built by Gunakama Dev in 724 A.D was called Kantipur but changed into Kathmandu around 16th century derived from Kasthamandap a wooden pagoda structure around Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu Valley which is the home of Virgin Goddess Kumari worship as the only living Goddess in the world, by all as protector of the valley.
Kathmandu Durbar Square : Kathmandu durbar square another world heritage sites which is the centre of the ancient royal palace administration and festival . This square contains many centuries old monuments with historical , artistic and architectural buildings of many Dynasties whom ruled this city . This durbar square contains many important shrines such as House of the Living Goddess Kumari , KalBhairab , Jagannath Temple , Degutaleju temple , Big bell , Mahendraswor Mahadev etc .
Day 3 : (Pashupatinath – Boudhanath- Patan City ) World Heritage City Tours:
Second day of the city touring, we will be covering few other heritage sites and you will get to know about the civilization , different daily activities of the People and Heritage Monuments of the Cultural cities.
After having breakfast sightseeing tours of Kathmandu city will start including Pashupatinath, Swyambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa & Bhaktapur city and overnight in Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath is an important sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites for all the Hindu followers all over the world and patron deity of Nepal. Every Hindu people wish to visit this revered Shiva Temple at least once in a life time and then to Guhyashwori Shakti temple on the way back .
Boudhanath which is another Buddhist Stupa which is one of the largest stupa in the World and Tibetan Buddhist Centre where a big settlements of Tibetan Communities resides with different schools of Buddhist. Then later , we will be driving to the Bhakatapur city ( Bhadgaun ) or Khopa a native name for the ancient living cultural city which have maintained its ancient heritage. Until to the mid 15 century , it was the capital of the Nepal . Bhakapur is a living museum with great temples and Durbar complex , Golden gate , Natyapole Temple , Kashi Bishwanath temple , Pujarimath, fine carved wooden Peacock Window , 55 windows complex and Taleju temple etc.
Patan is designed as the Buddhist Dharma Chakra and believed to be one of the oldest Buddhist city of the world . The Great Emperor Ashoka erected four stupa within four corners of the valley during the visit to this city around 249 B.C. Patan valley whose ancient name was Yala and also Lalitpur ( The City of Arts) being settle down by King Veera Deva in about 299 A.D.
Patan city have many Buddhist Monuments and Bahal , Vihars. The city which is famous for its artistic creation of many Buddhist Dharma items . Many fine architectural temples such as all stone carved Krishna temple, Patan Durbar Complex, Kumbhashwor Temple , Banglamukhi Sakti Temple , Golden Temple, Rudravarna Mahavihar and Mahaboudha Temple etc.
In Patan we will visit Royal Durbar Square also where you can see the Newar cilivization , it’s different form of architecture ,arts and tradition . Centuries old temples ,stupa , courtyard , Bahals .
Day 4 : Bhaktapur – ChanguNarayan and overnight at the Nagarkot: ( 2175 Mt )
Early Morning after breakfast we will leave to the Bhakatapur city ( Bhadgaun ) or Khopa a native name for the ancient living cultural city which have maintained its ancient heritage . Then after we will again go to another heritage sites Changu Narayan a Hindu temple which is believed to be the oldest temple which has a recorded written proof which proves to be the ancient temple with the written manuscript . After the tour of ChanguNarayan we will travel to Nagarkot a hillstation at 2150 mt above sealevel from where you can view a panoramic himalayas range with the magnificient sunrise and sunset . Overnight at Nagarkot.
Day 5 : Back to Kathmandu – Departure :
Early Morning after breakfast, drive to Kathmandu with all the good memories and later opt for a leisure time . You can spend time in Thamel for shopping for souvenirs and later head to the Airport for your onward journey .
